One thing I find really fascinating about hockey players is their nutritional habits. They are all over the board. Some have a good understanding as what quality nutrition is and others are completely in the dark. Some may have a good understanding but for whatever reason they fail to apply this information. And then there are those that are mis-informed and make poor choices due to ignorance rather than laziness or apathy. And sometimes this makes me think of an old Seinfeld episode.
Why did you leave your last job? This can get hairy if you left under dubious circumstances. Again, you want to put the best possible spin on it. If you think it through, odds are that won’t be as difficult to do as you think. Sometimes, the answer is as simple as, I had gone as far within the company as I could. I am always looking to add to my skill set. (Yes, use the buzzwords. As a journalist, I dislike them, but as with your resume, certain words will be looked for during an interview.
We will always preach to the hockey players that we work with that we want to play at their heaviest weight that doesn’t compromise their athleticism.
Sexy clothing is not THE only Valentines Day gift you should give her. If your lover is a chocolate fiend then you better get her some fancy gin and chocolates delivered too – and flowers are never a waster, but opt for two or three smaller boquets around the room instead of one big overbearing grouping. Choose different types of flowers – daisies, wild flowers, carnations – with maybe one rose tied with a ribbon. The rose will be romantic and the hardier flowers will last longer. Think about adding a slim book of erotic stories, some massage oil, adult toys or a special piece of jewelry with an encrypted romantic inscription.
Flexible chopping mats: Toss out that old wooden relic (that is full of germs by the way). Put one of these superflex mats down: Chop, bend, and all your mushrooms, rosemary, et al go sliding nicely into your pot. Plus, they are easily thrown in dishwasher. Since you get two for about $6.00, you can discard when you have overly abused them. I found mine at Bed Bath and Beyond.
Now, consider that a middle school student needs approximately 1600 to 1800 calories per day, according to the American Heart Association. The meals described above, served with milk, range in calories from 649 to 886. That means a child could be getting half their daily calories from lunch alone. According to the Mayo Clinic, middle school girls need approximately 40 to 60 grams of fat and middle school boys need approximately 50 to 70 grams of fat per day, depending on their caloric intake. That means some middle school children might be getting half the amount of fat they need in an entire day from their school lunch.
I had hoped to order one of these chocolates for my review; however, the store is closed until May 26th, 2008. You can purchase the chocolates by using pay pal and the website states they take US dollars, UK pounds and Euros. Remember that as odd or entertaining as you may find the site and the chocolates not everyone will be amused so be careful who you send them to. Happy Shopping!
